• The Comfort Hip Protector is a comfortable hip protector which provides an easy way to reduce the risk of a hip fracture.
• The hip protector consists of a pair of briefs and two protective elements. On both sides of the briefs there are bags where the protective elements are placed. Tests have shown that these protective elements reduce the impact forces during a fall on the hip by up to 60%. The protective elements are removable, you can quickly and easily transfer them to another pair of briefs.
• With the Comfort Hip Protector you reduce the chance of a hip fracture 24 hours a day. The hip protector can be worn day and night. This is of great importance, since research has showed that most falls happen at night, for example during a visit to the bathroom. The hip protector is also invisible when worn under your clothes.

Washing:

• Remove the protective elements from the underwear and was briefs at a temperature of 60˚C (140˚F) OR 90˚C (195˚F). The underwear is made of 95% cotton and 5% elastane. During the first wash the underwear can shrink up to 8%.
• The protective elements must not go in the washing machine or dryer. It is recommended to clean them by hand washing at up to 40˚C  (104˚F). Avoid contact with chlorine.

Storage and Life:

• The Comfort Hip Protector should be stored frost- and moisture free. Under normal use and if laundry and storage requirements are followed, the protective elements have no minimum life. If cracking is observed, the protective elements need to be replaced.
